However, our humble beginnings date way back to the 1970's where our President, Bob Steinberg led the Sales Department of one of the first Thermal Mass Flow Meters manufacturers. In the 70's, the idea of a Thermal Mass Flow Meter was alien to most anyone in industry. The concept was a tough sell too. Trying to convince a process engineer at a steel plant that a Thermal Mass Flow Meter was better than the traditional orifice plate was a near impossible feat! Over time, industry began to learn the value of a much more accurate technology, with no moving parts, and the ability to read mass flow directly over a very wide range, and it has revolutionized a new paradigm in the industry. Today the Thermal Mass Flow Meter has become the de facto standard, and with the emergence of Sage Metering, Inc., we are now leading the way.
