Thermal mass flow meters are ideal for gas valve testing and pressure regulator testing. The Sage Prime is suitable for analyzing leak integrity and assuring the valve or regulator flows correctly.
Gas Valve Testing and Regulator Testing
Thermal flowmeters have an excellent response time which assures the tester quickly that the valve or regulator is flowing the correct amount of gas at various upstream pressures. Thermal mass flow meters have a wide dynamic range, providing flexibility in accommodating a variety of valve or regulator sizes. When testing valves, the leak integrity can be determined by the output in mass flow units (SLPM or SCFM) from a thermal flow meter.
Sage Thermal Flow Meters
Sage Prime is one of our most popular gas thermal mass flow meters preferred by our industrial, environmental, and commercial customers for various applications. It is in a robust yet lightweight, dual-sided NEMA 4 enclosure with easy access to a separate rear compartment. Large, well-marked terminals provide ease of customer wiring, providing complete Modbus® compliant RS485 communications, isolated 4-20mA outputs, pulsed outputs of totalized flow, and the choice of 24VDC or 115VAC/230VAC operation (12 VDC optional).
Gas Flow Application Standards
The Prime can be integrated into almost any gas flow application, is CE compliant, and meets UL and CSA standards for hazardous service. It features a bright, high contrast graphical display (organic LEDs) reporting flow rate, total, and temperature. It even provides the raw calibration milliwatts (mW) for diagnostics which is the key to our popular, money-saving in-situ calibration check.
