Sage Metering announces that Fred Whorff will assume the role of President effective January 1, 2025. Bob Steinberg will step down as President while continuing his role as CEO and maintaining active involvement on the company’s executive board.

Since establishing Sage Metering in 2002, Steinberg has led the company through transformative innovations in thermal mass flow measurement. His achievements include introducing the industry’s first hybrid-digital bridge circuit for thermal mass flow meters and pioneering practical on-site calibration verification methods. These breakthroughs opened new markets for environmental applications and greenhouse gas reporting while saving customers time and money.

Since joining Sage in 2023, Whorff has instituted new systems to improve its global market presence significantly. His leadership with international approvals and implementing new systems has strengthened Sage’s position in the thermal mass flow meter market. With over 30 years of hands-on engineering experience, including strategic sales management at Badger Meter, Whorff brings deep technical expertise and market insight to his new role.
