Sage Metering is pleased to announce that Fred Whorff has joined Sage as its new Vice President of Sales and Business Development, effective February 21, 2023.
Fred Whorff Joins Sage Metering
Along with working with our North American representatives and distributors, Fred will be responsible for business development.
Fred offers a wealth of knowledge and experience to Sage in technical sales management and engineering. He has been a hands-on engineer for over 30 years, predominantly working in product design and application of flow measurement and control products. He holds patents on several newer DP flow technologies and has considerable application and field experience.
Fred served as a strategic sales manager at Badger Meter for nearly six years and, before that, as a sales and business development manager at Azbil North America. He has a BS in Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Industries from California State University, Fresno.
Fred has worked on flow challenges at mining facilities in Alaska, offshore oil and gas platforms in the North Sea, and sizeable fluid conveyance systems. He has experience controlling subsidence issues and developing multiphase flow techniques for enhanced oil and gas recovery. Additionally, he consulted on sustainability projects worldwide.
