Sage Metering is a leading manufacturer of thermal mass flow meters used in industrial and commercial applications worldwide. As we continue to develop our next generation of products, we’re looking for talented Electrical and Embedded Systems Engineers to join our engineering team full-time, at our headquarters, in beautiful Monterey, California.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
- Embedded electronics and firmware development
- Analog and digital circuit design
- PCB layout using Altium Designer
- ARM-based embedded systems
- Product prototyping and laboratory testing
- New product development from concept through production

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS*
- B.S. in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (ABET-accredited)
- Experience with embedded systems and electronics design
- Circuit design, PSpice simulation, and PCB layout
- Embedded C firmware development
- Experience with UART, I²C, and SPI protocols
- Comfortable using oscilloscopes, multimeters, function generators, and other lab equipment
- Ability to prototype, hand solder, and troubleshoot hardware
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently

EXPERIENCE LEVELS
Junior Engineer
- 2-5 years of embedded systems and PDB design experience
Mid-Level Engineer
- 5+ years of industrial embedded systems, PCB design, and firmware development
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Experience with the following is a plus:
- ARM Cortex microcontrollers
- Keil MDK / uVision
- USB, Ethernet, RS-485, Modbus, HART, and 4–20 mA communications
- Industrial instrumentation
- Mixed-signal and multilayer PCB design
- Git or SVN
- PLCs and industrial control systems
- Product certifications including UL, CE, FCC, ATEX, and IECEx
