The Monterey Herald recently featured Bob Steinberg, the president and founder of Sage Metering, in an article, “Local books: Everything he knows about business he learned in baseball.”
The article focuses on Steinberg’s lifetime fascination and ingenuity in developing new products and inventions. Of course, one of his ventures over the years was giving life to Sage Metering in 2002. Another mention in the article is his book, The Triple Play of Business: A Strategy for a Healthy Company. The business book was sparked by his frustration with corporate America and how he executed the ingredients of the triple play when facing the possibility of shutting down his business during dark times yet found a way to survive, thrive, and prosper.
