HART Communication Protocol (aka Highway Addressable Remote Transducer) is the worldwide benchmark for sending and receiving digital data across analog wires between “smart” devices and control or monitoring systems. HART is widely used in process and instrumentation and is one of the most popular industrial protocols today.
